Personal Assistant for Android

One of my colleagues recently e-mailed me about a great personal assistant app that I would like to share. The app is currently only for Android and can be found on the Google Play Store.

The name of the app is called "Agent". Agent is an app that runs in the background on any Android smartphone or tablet. The interface is very nicely laid out and user friendly. Agent claims they solve five every day needs; battery, sleep, parking, meetings and driving.

BATTERY - The battery feature detects low battery status and disables unused features of the phone.

SLEEP - This option allows you to sleep comfortably without and interruptions. You can set an auto text reply informing callers that you're sleeping and if they text the word "urgent" your phone will ring loudly to wake you up. Anyone that calls you twice within a 5 minute time frame will automatically get their call pushed through and your device will ring. The sleep option also allows you to shut off all your connections, kind of an Airplane Mode setting.

PARKING - Great feature for us "Dude Where's My Car" types. Parking integrates with Google Maps to help you find where you parked. This is a useful feature for those times we park at the mall or theme parks and have no idea where we put our cars.

MEETING - This is a little like the sleep feature. Meeting automatically silences all notifications while you are in a meeting pulling information of booked appointments from one or multiple calendars. Same as sleep mode, you can text the word "urgent" to the user to get through to them.

DRIVE  - When connected to Bluetooth the app can silence the phone and read text messages out loud. You can define an automatic text reply if need be.

More information on this app can be found on the Google Play Store
