Mobile Payments and POS w/Gnome

Last week I talked about the Square mobile payment solution for iPhone and Android. I am seeing more and more solutions that work great for business. The latest is the Gnome POS system.

Gnome is the latest and greatest product designed and sold by Groupon. It is essentially a Marketing, POS and Mobile Payments tool that is run through an iPad.

- Remembers customer preferences to help the merchant easily pull up the customer profile.
- Contact management tools help you access the customer database and flag your "regulars" to serve them promptly and show them how much they mean to the success of the business/
- Connects to Groupon's platform to give you customer feedback to better help serve your customers.
- Accepts credit/debit card payments with NO payment processing fees

Keep in mind that Gnome operates off an iPad so with the use of Wifi or a cellular connection this device can be taken anywhere and is great for businesses that operate in house or on the go. If you are in the restaurant, farming, vendor, retail business, this is an easy and lower cost solution.

I know it's been a while since the release of the iPhone 5c and 5s, but I finally had a chance to get one in my hands and try it out. I am 100% with you when people say "It's the same phone" and for the most part you are right.
