SD Card Error for Android 4.4 KitKat

This was sent to me by a colleague. Please see below some issues that people have encountered when updating to Android's new version 4.4. As Kit Kat rolls out for some devices there are a few important changes we need to be aware of. There is a major change in the way a Kit Kat device handles content on the SD card that may impact our clients experience with the device.     The short of it is: Kit Kat now inhibits Apps from accessing areas of the SD card other than its own folder providing a much higher level of security for the end user . The downfall is it has caused some Apps to fail as they no longer have access to the SD card in the way they used to. Areas affected can include (but not restricted to) Apps copied or moved to the SD card after install, Music and pictures files.   Here is a highly recommended read for you on the changes: http://m.androidcentral.com/kitkat-sdcard-changes   1)  ...

What's New About iOS 7.1 for iPhone 4 and Up

Image
Apple has recently pushed out the newest update to the iPhone, iOS 7.1 and I must say it has proven to be quite a game changer for myself personally. Since it's inception, iOS 7 has been on the slow side for earlier devices such as the iPhone 4 and 4s and even a little laggy on the newer devices. No longer is that a problem. iOS 7.1 brings us improved performance exclusively to the iPhone 4 as well. Another great change is the Calendar. When iOS 7 rolled out I couldn't believe how much my trusty calendar changed. I enjoyed seeing a days glance of events and at the same time seeing the full month view. iOS 7.1 brings us back to our beloved calendar features from iOS 6. Thank you!! Siri now has a manual control. Instead of waiting for Siri to search on it's own, now users can simply hold the home button, say their command and then release the home button when they are done. This provides the user with a quicker response. There also have been new natural sounding voi...

The New HTC One Dual Camera?

Image
An image has been leaked of HTC's new flagship device "New One" featuring a dual camera. First of all, I'd like to say HTC really? You couldn't come up with a better name than HTC One? Now you can't come up with a better name than HTC New One? How about HTC Two, the sequel? I find cell phone companies are getting a little lazy with the naming of their phones. Enough about my ranting. This leaked image shows the rear facing camera(s) as well as a dual flash, much like the iPhone 5s. What the second camera's function is at this point is unknown, but it does intrigue me. More official details on the device will be introduced on March 25th.
